What is a Continuum of Care?
A Continuum of Care (CoC) is the local system that coordinates housing and services to help people move out of homelessness and into stable housing. It is supported in part by funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which works alongside other federal, state, and local funding sources. In the Heart of Texas, the CoC serves McLennan, Bosque, Hill, Limestone, Freestone, and Falls counties.

In collaboration with the Heart of Texas Homeless Coalition (HOTC), Prosper Waco serves as the "Collaborative Applicant" for the TX-604 Waco/McLennan County Continuum of Care (COC) and leads the HUD CoC Grant process.
Prosper Waco provides technical assistance and guidance to agencies applying for funding to create new housing and service programs. Applicants must submit applications through the annual CoC Program Competition facilitated by Prosper Waco.
